A bloom from the vase that's currently sitting on my dresser, bringing a huge smile to my face every morning as I awake.
Peonies might just be my favorite May flower, at least when it comes to cut ones. (I can't forget about the frilly, ruffled cherry blossoms outside - wouldn't want to hurt their feelings, clearly!)
