Back from Vacation

I've returned from my little trip across the pond to Dublin and London. In Ireland, we took a short detour to Howth to hike the sea cliffs. It's only 20 minutes from Dublin on the train, and you get sights like this! I highly recommend trying out their multiple hiking trails for yourself if you're in the area. It was our favorite part of our vacation.

The Emerald Isle

Whenever fall weather arrives in New England, with its misty rains and brisk breezes, I'm always reminded of Ireland. I've been lucky enough to explore Dublin, the Wicklow Mountains, and the Ring of Kerry, but I can't wait to go back some day and see even more of this beautiful island.

What does autumn remind you of?

These lovely, brightly colored vintage posters were created during the "Golden Age of Travel", which began in the 1920's and continued through the 1940's.

The Boston Public Library owns over 350 vintage travel ads, including the ones above, and has been kind enough to share them online through their Flickr stream! Click here to view more of these stunning works of art.
