There's a chill in the air and we've already had snow here, but this honey ice cream from Saveur looks too tasty and easy not to make! I'm sure it would be a great hot cocoa topper.

When Life Hands You Sour Cherries...

When life hands you sour cherries, make "Sour Cherry Slab Pie". How good does this look?! Deb from Smitten Kitchen used fresh cherries from her local farmers' market, but frozen fruit can be substituted for this "giant Pop Tart".

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for these ruby red gems at farm stands - I can't wait to make this!

Dessert on a Stamp

I came across these postage stamps on David Leibovitz's blog. They look just like an unwrapped bar of chocolate, and they even smell just like the candy bar! However, they're actually just scented stamps.

I'm hoping the U.S. Postal system gets inspired and follows suit!

Saint Patrick's Day Recipe

Check out the recipe for these Chocolate Whiskey and Beer Cupcakes from one of my favorite food blogs, Smitten Kitchen.

I've made her Chocolate Stout Cake for a beer-loving guy friend before, and it came out great. It was so moist and not sugary-sweet. The alcohol cooks out, leaving behind only the layers of spices and flavors from the beer. I'm hoping these will come out just as good (if not better!).
