Lotta Nieminen's Illustrations

After a Tax Day-related delay (okay, so I may have procrastinated on doing them...), I'm back with some lovely illustrations for you by Lotta Nieminen!

I love her use of slightly muted but still bold colors, vintage-looking textures, and unexpected details (like the overlaid patterns on the little birds).

I can't wait to see what she creates next!

Visit her portfolio here.

Botanical Posters

Aren't these canvas-printed botanical posters from The Evolution Store amazing? They're based on Scientific German Educational Charts from the 50's and 60's, and are printed by the original company using the same methods.

I think they'd be great conversation pieces in a tv or living room, or interesting statement pieces over a headboard in a bedroom!

Time for Doilies

I fell in love with these doily clocks by And Further More while browsing through Etsy today. I love how they look vintage yet modern at the same time. They'd be perfectly at home in a colorful, 50's style kitchen or in a sleek, minimalist living room.

Clever and lovely!

Lace and Frills

How beautiful is this doily dress by Armour Sans Anguish? I love how she's layered doilies for the bodice. The bottom seems to be a bubble hem, with lots of gathers. It looks like a lovely vintage-inspired tutu!

Giggin' It Old School

These unique gig posters are from Garrett Karol. They have a great vintage look and feel! I love that each print is full of detail, but does not seem cluttered or overcrowded.
