Tea Towels and Aprons from JiltyDrawings

I miss living in London every day, so these playful and fun tea towels and aprons from Jilty Drawings would definitely make me feel like I was back in the UK!

They're based on popular British cakes and "biscuits" (that's cookies, if you're American), as well as English nursery rhymes. Have you ever heard, "Oranges and lemons ring the bells of St. Clemen's"? The end of the rhyme is a bit, well, gruesome to say the least but the other stanzas charmingly describe the different sounds of the church bells around London.

Color Photos of London During the Blitz

These never-before-seen color images of the damage caused by the Blitz in London have been released in honor of the 70th anniversary of V-Day in Britain.

It's incredible to see the aftermath of the bombings - it's amazing how one building could be completely destroyed but the one next to it could be untouched. What a scary time for London's citizens!

Thankfully, the city has since been rebuilt (although you can still see shell marks on many buildings that survived).

Kate's Wedding Bouquet

Inspired by loveliness of the Royal Wedding as well as by the ever-graceful Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, I sketched the individual blooms from her bouquet. Then I inked them over in black, and added color with pencils.

Clockwise from the top right, the flowers pictured are dianthus (also called Sweet William), myrtle, ivy, hyacinth, and lily-of-the-valley.

Prints from Bodie and Foo

I will never get tired of looking at (and often lusting over, let's be honest) anything British, including these prints from Bodie and Fou.

I love the loops of the antique penmanship-inspired hearts in the "Endless Love" print, the playful take on the Union Jack in the "Quintessentially" piece, and the clever (and informative!) design of the "British Isles Type Map".

A Cozy Cottage

I'd love to live in a cozy little cottage like this, tucked away on a quiet street and surrounded by towering pines. It looks like it has a garden surrounding it as well. So quaint!

Lovely London

I was lucky enough to study abroad in London when I was younger. Ever since then, I've longed to move back, even if only for a month or two. This beautiful photo by Scott Lanphere only intensifies the yearning! It's absolutely stunning, so full of detail, movement, and light.
