Shop Update

I just wanted to share some of my newest printables with you! I've recently added these to my Etsy store. Click on the pics to go to specific listing if you're interested.

This first piece was inspired by memories of summer road trips and travels abroad. Is there anything better than exploring a new place or foreign clime for the first time? This is available in several different font styles.

This is actually a printable that I revamped. I made the outlines around Ursa Major and Ursa Minor - the mama bear and baby bear constellations - more angular, so they'd look more geometric and fresh. For more colors, see here.

Simple and classic. L-O-V-E with the "O" replaced by a heart, all in script on a crimson watercolor background. Again, multiple colors available!

The next three pics are also updated pieces. For the ship captain's wheel shown here and anchor & stars featured below, I added halftone drop shadow details and vintage texture on top. Summer always makes me want to decorate in nautical themes and watery blues!

This anchor & stars is one of the oldest Americana symbols. Also available in white on navy blue.

Inspired by wedding season, I created this piece to commemorate the blending of two people into one family. The tree is a mighty oak, symbolizing fidelity, loyalty, and strength. Also available in non-script fonts.

I can customize any printable in my store to match your color scheme, just ask! I'm also currently offering prints again, just select one of these listings to turn any printable into an actual print!

Brand New Shabby Chic Swallow Pendants in the Shop!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/278124962/shabby-chic-swallow-bird-necklace?ref=shop_home_active_1

Just wanted you guys to be the first to know that I've added these brand new tiny "shabby chic" swallow necklaces to my Etsy store!

Swallows are one of my favorite birds. Besides how gracefully they swoop and dance through the air, they're also symbols of everlasting love, hope, and triumph.

These simple yet sweet bird necklaces would make a great gift for your mom for Mother's Day or just for yourself, and I'm offering free U.S. shipping on them!

New Fall/Autumn Printables in the Shop!

We're still unpacking and getting settled into the new place. What is it about the last few boxes of random bits and pieces? It seems like it's always hard to find places (or storage) for the remaining items once I'm 95% unpacked. Does that happen to anyone else?

But I'm still here, and still trying to blog when I can! I thought I'd update you on some new pieces I've added to the shop for fall/autumn. The first reads "I Love Autumn", with the "o" replaced by a maple leaf. The words are in orange on a antique paper-looking background.

This piece is also available in red, for anyone who thinks cherry red fall leaves are the prettiest. I can't decide if I love bright orange or bright red ones the best myself.

Can you tell I like maple leaves? They always seem to be the brightest, loveliest colored leaves out of all the tress. And they come in so many varieties and shapes! So I couldn't resist creating a printable set of two maples, one in scarlet and one in golden orange.

Last, I created an "I Love October" digital print with pumpkins replacing the o's in "October". In Massachusetts, that's when we get peak foliage. It's also the best time of the year for picking apples at local orchards and visiting farmers' markets.

I hope you like the new printables! You can see more of the digital prints available in my store - HeritageCurrentCo - here.

Life Lately

Lately, well, I've been a bit disappointed by people. I don't understand why people don't do the right thing even when no one is watching, you know? So when I came across this mug by Afternoon Coffee, it made me smile and gave me motivation to try to forget those who don't have my best interests at heart and to move on to happier thoughts. That's what books and movies are for, right? To escape into other worlds and forget our current cares and worries.

Afternoon Coffee is currently out of these mugs, but she's going to restock them in September. I'll know I'll be checking back so I can get my hands on one in time for warm cider and hot chocolate in the fall!

On a related note, I know I haven't been posting much this summer. I've been trying to stock my store with a ton of new prints well before the holidays come, so that's been causing the delay. I should be back to posting more in September. In the meantime, you can see what I've been up to in my HeritageCurrentCo. store if you like!

Blog Under Construction and a Shop Update

So you might have noticed that this blog has a new name. Heritage Current Co. is the new name (well, old, but renamed) of my Etsy shop, so I've changed my blog's to coordinate.

I'll still be posting, you just are going to see the header probably change again to fancy it up a bit, blog colors change, some other layout changes, as well as new images for my Twitter, etc.!

Also, HeritageCurrentCo. now has printables! Get your prints asap by downloading them and printing them yourself, or taking them to a local shop. You can print them on any variety of paper, or have them printed on canvas, metal, or bamboo!

Shop Update

I've added new nautical- and ocean-themed prints to my shop, 3LambsIllustration! They're available in a variety of colors, and are great for mixing-and-matching to update your home decor for summer. I made them from vintage images that I carefully cleaned up and then colored in bright cherry red, aqua, navy blue, and tangerine (not shown). So far, I've added starfish, lobster, seahorse, crab, coral branch, and fish illustrations!

I'll also be adding new Audrey Hepburn prints and summer-themed pieces over the next week or so. I hope you like them!

New Prints in the Shop, 3LambsIllustration

I've been trying to get ideas out of my head and onto paper lately, and these two new prints in the shop came from that. I think Valentine's Day probably influenced the red and white color schemes! This "Love You" print with hearts instead of o's has a watercolor-textured background and script/calligraphic-style lettering.

This piece features a heart with the word "yours" written over and over on it. So, naturally, it's called "This Heart is Yours". I like the idea that you can symbolically give someone your "heart" by giving them this print!

Brand-New Calendars in the Shop

I hope you guys all have wonderful plans for Thanksgiving! The husband and I are spending it together, just the two of us. We've been prepping for it all night!

I just wanted to drop a quick note and let you know that I have these brand-new one-page 2013 calendars up in the shop. They feature vintage details like flourishes and a chalkboard look but with modern style. I'm really excited about them - this is the first time I've offered calendars!

The one above features a vintage penmanship bird, made of whimsical calligraphic flourishes and curves. It has a chalkboard-type background that gives it a bit of an one-room Victorian schoolhouse look, but the fonts are modern script and serif versions.
The quote on the banner on this one reads, "And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been." It's a Rainer Maria Rilke quote that I've always loved - it just perfectly sums up all the hope and promise and dreams you feel when a new year begins! It has vintage-style flourishes framing "2013" as well.

Here's a white version, in case that goes with your decor better. I hope you guys like the new pieces!

I will be running special deals from tomorrow through Tuesday, so check the shop if you've been waiting for a sale in the store.

Happy Thanksgiving, hope you have a wonderful day however you choose to spend it!
